About BIS
In 1908, the Broadmoor residents founded the Broadmoor Village Society to promote the general welfare, health, and safety of the area. In 1918, the Society became the Broadmoor Improvement Society and in 1949 was formally incorporated under the laws of the State of Colorado.
In April 2002, to more accurately reflect services offered, our name was officially changed to Broadmoor Information & Security while retaining the common reference of "BIS".
In 2008, the BIS celebrated its 100th anniversary.
BIS Services
Membership with Broadmoor Information & Security provides you the following services:
IMMEDIATE OFFICER CONTACT - BIS provides a special protection for you and your family supplementing that of CSPD. BIS officers can be added to your home alarm system and should your alarm sound the BIS officer on duty will receive a phone call or text message from your alarm company. In addition, BIS officers are equipped with cell phones that enable you to speak directly to the patrolling officer for quick emergency reporting and shorter response times.
EMAIL NOTIFICATION - Members providing email addresses will be notified of significant activities and events in the neighborhood using Constant Contact. To ensure delivery please add our address to your email contacts. Our BIS community has been effective in utilizing these emails to keep both our BIS officers and your fellow BIS members updated on the latest happenings.
VACATION SECURITY - BIS officers provide special security checks, if requested, while you are on vacation or away on business.
MAIL AND PAPER PICK-UP - BIS officers will pick up your mail and newspapers while you are away.
BIS WEBSITE - Our BIS website offers recent crime reports in addition to emergency alerts.
