2/12…7:41 am…Zone 8…Cheyenne Mountain Blvd…Received a call of a suspicious vehicle parked along the edge of Pourtales Park. The vehicle was described as a black van with bumper stickers and bikes on the back of the van. The BIS officer arrived in the area at 7:43 am and found a black van as described, also has a tan hood and CO plates. The van was occupied by two males wearing reflective work gear who stated they were working on a house nearby that is under construction. Member was called back and advised we would keep an eye on the vehicle. Van was gone from the area at 9 am.
2/13…8:13 am…Zone 7…Carriage Manor Point…BIS officer observed a white Hyundai Accent with CO plates parked next to the garage of one of the units. The vehicle looked unoccupied until a WF popped up in the front passenger seat, she got into the driver’s seat and drove off. As she was driving away a BM was seen in the front passenger seat as well. Left behind underwear and other items of clothing on the ground.
2/14…11:06 am…Zone 2…Fourth street…BIS officer contacted by a member that an individual was found sleeping inside of their vacant house. The member stated on the phone to the BIS Officer that when they entered the house the fireplace had been turned on and they saw someone sleeping on the floor in the master bedroom. The member stated that CSPD was contacted as well as BIS. The BIS officer was first on the scene at 11:09 am and met the owner outside. Several plastic totes and women’s clothing were in the driveway which did not belong to the owner. The officer entered the house with the owner and did not find anyone inside after completing a search of the entire house. Footprints in snow in the backyard and driveway, appeared to have been older prints. Five officers from CSPD arrived at 11:23am and checked the interior of the house as well. Entry appeared to have been made through a kitchen door at the rear of the house since it was discovered that only this door was unlocked. Officer left the property at 11:42 am.
2/15…9:30 am…Zone 2…Elm Ave…BIS member reported suspicious activity on their doorbell camera which occurred at 4:03 am. The camera footage showed a WM 17-21 years old wearing a light color hoodie and khaki pants walking onto the property from the east driveway and rang the doorbell. Male stood at the door for about a minute saying, “I need to go back home.” Male walked away east on Elm Ave. Few minutes later a vehicle was seen on camera turning around in front of the house, unable to see the vehicle clearly for a description.
2/15…11:46 am…Zone 8…Marland Road…Member called to report someone attempted to pry open their locked mailbox. The mailbox was pried open enough to be able to reach inside. The member did not state whether their mail was removed. No suspect description.
2/15…12:35 pm…Zone 9…McKay Road…Member called to report a burglary to a motor vehicle that happened on 2/13 between 2:05 am and 2:26 am. Camera footage showed a vehicle cruising on the street at 2:05 am which was a newer model extended cab Dodge truck with one headlight not functioning, had an off-road light bar on the front of the truck and flared wheel wells. No other information or descriptions. The member called CSPD on 2/13 to report the crime.
2/15…1:56 pm…Zone 2…Polo Drive…A non-member called to report their vehicle was stolen from the street in front of their house. The non-member stated that they believe the crime was committed at 5:55 am which is based on a neighbor who witnessed the crime. The vehicle was a 1991 white Honda CRX. The non-member did not report a description of the suspect. CSPD was notified by the car owner.

2/17…4:36 am…Zone 2…Fourth Street…Member home alarm was activated while the member was not home. Alarm company sent notification to the member at 2:38 am but since it was early in the morning, the member did not see the alarm company notification until 4:30 am. Member contacted BIS to request an officer to check the house. The BIS officer arrived at 4:43 am and found fresh tire marks in the snow entering the driveway with footprints on each side of the tire marks where the vehicle had stopped. Footprints in the snow were followed only to the front door and side door to the garage. No evidence of footprints going to the back of the house. The BIS officer did not find any indication of a forced entry into the house and all doors and windows were secure. The BIS officer received more information on Saturday evening from a neighbor across the street from the house who witnessed a white car in the driveway around 2 am and two individuals with flashlights were observed walking to the front door. The vehicle was described as a Toyota type sedan. No further description.
