Officer Notes - June 26th - July 2nd

6/26 - 6:04 pm - Zone 10, Sanford Road - A member reported an odd truck that backed onto their property and parked close to the house. The BIS officer arrived at approx. 6:15 pm and spoke with the member. The officer walked around the property but was unable to locate the driver. The BIS officer returned at 7:45 pm, truck still parked, unoccupied. No other member calls were received.

6/27 - 9:57 am - Zone 5, Springmeadow Drive/Cheyenne Mtn Blvd - BIS received two calls about a “crazy man” walking in the road and yelling. The BIS officer arrived at approximately 10:05 am, but no one seen in the roadway. The officer checked around the area of Cheyenne Mtn Blvd but made no contact. No further description of the man was given and no other calls were received.

10:22 am - Zone 10 - a suspicious vehicle parked in front of a member’s house. It was a tan/gold Toyota Avalon with Oregon plates unknown to the resident. The BIS officer arrived at approximately 10:26 am. When the BIS officer asked if the driver needed help, the male drove off.

10:42 am - Zone 9, Hermitage Drive - BIS received a message from a member about the male in the tan/gold Toyota Avalon. Member stated the male was sleeping and chased the member with the vehicle while he was on his bike. The BIS officer called 911 and reported the incident to CSPD along with the driver and vehicle description.

6/28 - 6:30 pm - Zone 8, Cheyenne Mtn Blvd - A member called about a homeless male walking around the area. The BIS officer arrived in the area and observed a man walking east on Pourtales Road. The officer watched the male for about ten minutes until he was out of the area. The officer then called the member and let her know he had left the area.

7/2 - 1:38 am - Zone 5,Springmeadow Drive - a suspicious vehicle parked on Springmeadow Drive on the bridge between Cheyenne Mtn Blvd and Lake Ave. It was the same gold 4 door Toyota Avalon with Oregon plates. The BIS officer contacted the driver, who was asked if he was broken down or needed help. CSPD was called since this was the same vehicle involved in two incidents on June 27th. CSPD arrived at approximately 2:31 am but the vehicle had left the area and no contact was made by CSPD.

8:11 pm - Zone 8, Pourtales Road - A member called about a suspicious vehicle parked in front of their house occupied by two people. The BIS officer arrived at 8:15 pm and found a light tan Buick LeSabre with Nebraska plates, unoccupied. The member stated that the occupants said the vehicle was out of gas. Both occupants were found and contacted on Briarwood Place, both lost trying to get to a gas station. The BIS officer gave an occupant a ride to a gas station and purchased a gas can and gas for them. The BIS officer then got the vehicle gassed up and gave them directions to the nearest gas station.
