10/9…5:45 pm…Zone 1…Cheyenne Blvd…Member reported that three HM’s in a silver Honda Accord, unknown plates, were acting suspicious in the Northwestern part of the Broadmoor area asking people for money. Subjects attempted to portray themselves as possibly being armed with unknown type of weapon(s). Member advised that CSPD had been contacted but had not responded to the area. Member reached out to BIS. No contact with vehicle or suspicious persons was made by BIS. Suspicious persons had likely left the area earlier.

10/13…7:47 pm…Zone 2…Lake Ave/Berthe Circle…BIS Officer discovered single vehicle traffic accident, blue 2 door Honda hatchback with CO plates, WM driver in his 20s. Front left tire of the vehicle broke off while vehicle was turning west onto Lake Ave in the round-about. West bound Lake Ave blocked by the disabled vehicle. CSPD was notified, BIS officer directed traffic to Elm Ave. Randy’s towing arrived at 8:52 pm and removed the vehicle. CSPD did not arrive on scene and was cancelled. Driver to "cold report" crash for insurance purposes.
10/14…7:56 pm…Zone 2…Polo Drive…Received a call from a member about a suspicious vehicle parked on the street in front of her house for approximately 20 minutes. Member did not recognize the vehicle as that of a neighbor or area resident. BIS officer arrived in the area at 8:03 pm and found a silver 4 door Dodge Ram pick-up with CO Marine Corps plates legally parked on the street in front of the members address. Vehicle was unfamiliar to the BIS Officer - never seen in the area before. Truck was unoccupied and there was nothing unusual about the truck. Officer noticed several vehicles at a non-members house two houses up the street. No one seen walking around the area. BIS Officer contacted the member who had originally called and Officer monitored area throughout the night. Truck left the area sometime during the night. No further action taken.
