9/25…10:45 am…Zone 5…Sierra Vista Drive…Report of a suspicious vehicle parked across the street from a member’s house. BIS officer arrived in the area at 11:35 am and found a red 4 door Volvo with California plates. Contacted a WM 30s wearing a grey Polo shirt and tan pants. Vehicle belonged to him, male works for a solar company going door to door soliciting.

9/28…1:05 pm…Zone 3…Poplar Street…Received a call from a non-member that a BM early 20s wearing a black t-shirt, tan pants with a tan backpack was observed removing a package from the porch of another non-member's house on Poplar Street. Suspect rode off on a mountain bike. BIS officer responded to the area and found a torn open package on Polo Pony Drive addressed to the house on Poplar Street. Empty package returned to the house, no answer/no contact with resident. While BIS Officer was patrolling the area attempting to locate the suspect, the reporting party again called the BIS Officer and stated the suspect male was seen meeting with someone in a black Ford F-150 pick-up near the Broadmoor Hotel and that the suspect male had followed the reporting party to the lobby of the Hotel. The BIS Officer advised the non-member to call CSPD/911 and contact hotel security.
9/29…6:37 pm…Zone 10…El Pomar Road…BIS Officer received two calls from non-members about a homeless male wearing “weathered clothes with a red bag” walking south on El Pomar Road. BIS officer arrived in the area at 6:57pm. The homeless appearing male was seen by the BIS Officer walking west on Old Stage Road. Officer observed a WM, approximately 58 years old, 5’10”, 170-180 lbs., wearing tan shorts, tan t-shirt with a small black and tan backpack. He was contacted at Old Stage Road and Pine Road. Male stated he was lost and asked for a ride to the Southgate area. BIS Officer assessed male's condition and safety and elected to transport male to McDonald’s on Southgate.
9/30…5:10 am…Zone 7…Fifth Street…Suspicious vehicle observed by BIS Officer parked at the dead end of Fifth street. Dark colored sedan with a mismatched hood and roof (white in color) CO plates CSEM03, tinted windows, unknown number of occupants. Vehicle sped off at a high rate of speed upon seeing the BIS patrol vehicle. Vehicle last seen west on Old Stage Road. Vehicle never seen in the area before. Officer checked area for evidence of any suspicious or criminal activity in the area and detected none. Monitored area and watched for vehicle throughout shift. Relayed vehicle information to all BIS Officers.
