4/3…12:09 am…Zone 6…Cheyenne Mountain Blvd: BIS officer observed an older brown Honda sedan with personalized CO plates in the parking lot of a closed business. A young female was observed driving the vehicle. The female driver and vehicle left the property before contact could be made. This vehicle and female driver had been contacted on Colorado Springs School property the week prior. Officer logged vehicle information for future reference.

 

4/3…9:28 pm…Zone 10…Leaming Road: BIS officer received a call from an alarm company regarding a burglar alarm at a member’s residence. Alarm was reported to be associated with the master bedroom door. BIS Officer arrived at 9:37 pm and observed lights on inside the house. A quick perimeter search of the property indicated no signs of attempted forced entry on any doors or windows and no vehicles or individuals were seen in the area. BIS Officer notified CSPD due to the nature of the circumstances. CSPD arrived at 10:01 pm. CSPD Officers checked the exterior of the residence again noting that nothing unusual was found. The BIS officer contacted the member/homeowner by phone and notified the member that everything was secure. The officer cleared the call at 10:20 pm.

4/5…5:45 pm…Zone 7…Broadmoor Ave: BIS Officer received a call from a BIS member inquiring about regulations for drones flying over their house and around the neighborhood. The member was informed that there were no city ordinances regulating drones. The BIS Officer responded to the area where the drone was reported, arriving at 5:50 pm, but did not see or hear any drones in the area. No other calls regarding drones in the area were received. The officer cleared at 5:55 pm.

 

4/6…8:36 am…Zone 10…El Pomar Rd: BIS Officer received a call from a member regarding mail that the member had found in the street. Found mail had an address on Old Stage Road with envelopes open.  Officer responded and arrived at 8:50 am. Officer checked the area of Old Stage Road, but no suspicious vehicles or individuals were observed in the area. No other mail was found in the street. No other calls were received regarding other mail found discarded in the street. Officer cleared the call at 9:00 am and will ensure the proper owner of the mail receives the found mail.
