1/25…4:33 am…Zone 9…Old Stage Road: Suspicious vehicle seen driving west on W. Cheyenne Mnt Blvd to Penrose Blvd. Older model Dodge Durango, early to mid-2000’s, silver with a mismatched black driver’s side front corner panel. The vehicle was driving with two sets of aftermarket LED floodlights/fog light bars turned on and no headlights. The driver was followed up to the zoo entrance where it turned around and proceeded north stopping at the intersection of Cheyenne Mountain Zoo Road and Penrose Blvd. The driver opened the driver’s side door and shined a flashlight at the BIS officer before turning east on W. Cheyenne Mountain Blvd. The same vehicle was also seen by the BIS officer approximately an hour and a half ago driving west on Cheyenne Road with the same lights turned on. The vehicle was never seen in the area before.
1/26…2:15 am…Zone 10 Penrose Blvd and El Pomar Road: BIS officer contacted a WM and WF 20’s in a black Honda Accord with CO plates. The vehicle was blocking the road at the intersection of Penrose Blvd and El Pomar Rd. The driver attempted to turn onto El Pomar Road when the vehicle slid and impacted the curb and was wedged onto the curb. The vehicle could not be driven or pushed off the curb. CSPD was called due to causing a traffic hazard. However, with the snow and icy conditions CSPD was on “cold reporting” and would not send any assistance. CSPD advised calling a tow truck which the driver did and the vehicle was gone from the area at 3:15 am.
