1/27…6:40 pm…Zone 3…Alsace Way: Received a call from a BIS member reporting a homeless WM, disheveled and wearing shorts, lying in the snow on the corner of Alsace Way and Ridgewood Ave. BIS officer responded arriving at 6:43 pm and checked several streets in the area but was unable to locate the male. No other calls were received. The officer monitored the area the remainder of the night with no contact.

1/28…10:25 am…Zone 10…West Point Road: Received a call from a member about a suspicious person in the area possibly soliciting. No further description. BIS officer arrived at 10:28 am and observed and contacted a door-to-door salesman. The male salesman was advised not to enter onto BIS member’s property/private property. Subject indicated he would comply. Officer cleared call at 10:30 am.

1/29…Nothing reported.

1/30…10:39 am…Zone 6…Iron Duke Court: Received a call from an alarm company about an active burglar alarm at a member’s residence coming from the garage door. BIS officer arrived at 10:49 am. Alarm was not audible. A perimeter search of the premises was conducted. All doors and windows were secure with no signs of attempted entry. Tire tracks in the snow going in/out of the garage were very recent. Attempted to contact the member but was not successful. Clearly a false alarm as no signs of foul play were observed. Officer cleared call at 10:57 am.

1/30…12:37 pm…Zone 9…Marland Road South: Received a call from a BIS member who slid off the road while driving. Member requested help digging and pushing her vehicle out of the ditch area beside the road. The BIS Officer arrived at 12:45 pm. The officer shoveled snow from around the vehicle to help in extricating it. The officer also attempted to push the vehicle by hand but was unable to move the vehicle. The driver called a tow truck and when it was determined the tow truck was on the way the officer cleared the scene at 1:39 pm.

1/31…Nothing reported.

2/1…7:27 pm…Zone 8…Cheyenne Mtn Blvd: Received a call from a BIS member about a suspicious vehicle parked on the street west of the member's driveway. The member did not recognize the vehicle and saw a light inside the vehicle turn off - and someone appeared to duck down out of view - as the member drove by the vehicle. BIS officer arrived at 7:31 pm and found a late 90’s/early 2000’s silver Jeep Grand Cherokee with expired CO plates. Vehicle also had a Cheyenne Mtn High School parking sticker from 2021/22 (senior). The vehicle was unoccupied and nothing unusual was observed inside the vehicle. Information on the vehicle was called into CSPD. The PD call taker stated they would not be sending an officer since the info did not meet their criteria for a suspicious vehicle. BIS Officer also checked the streets in the area but did not find anyone walking that may have been associated with the suspicious vehicle. The officer cleared the call at 7:57 pm. Upon checking the area again at 8:40 pm, the vehicle was gone. The reporting member was called and advised the vehicle was no longer in the area.
