12/16…8:36 pm…Zone 8…Northgate Road: Received a call regarding a burglar alarm at a BIS member's house but no specific area where the alarm was active in residence was given. BIS officer arrived at 8:45 pm and completed a check of the member's home. No signs of attempted entry or other property damage/foul play. All doors and windows were secure, and no suspicious vehicles or individuals were observed in the area. Attempted contact with member but was unable to reach.  Message left. Officer cleared at 8:56 pm.

12/19…6:40 pm…Zone 8…Cheyenne Mountain Blvd: Received a call from a BIS member stating the alarm was activated at their residence. BIS officer arrived at 6:48 pm and completed a full check of the exterior of the house. No signs of attempted entry, property damage or foul play. All doors and windows were secure. Officer spoke with the owner through the Ring camera.  Officer cleared at 7:00 pm.

 

12/20…7:17 pm…Zone 5…El Encanto Drive: Received a call from a BIS member about a suspicious truck entering the property next door. The vehicle had entered the property a couple of times and driver appeared to possibly be lost. Vehicle described as a truck with a flatbed trailer attached. BIS officer arrived at 7:21 pm and contacted a WM, age 30’s, in a dark blue Ford F-250 with CO plates and a small flatbed trailer. The vehicle was parked along the backyard fence of a BIS member on Mayfield Lane. Male was removing two deer that had been impaled on the fence and was authorized to be there. Reporting member was called back and advised that the male was allowed to be there. Officer cleared at 7:40 pm.

 

12/20…8:42 pm…Zone 4…Lake Avenue and Old Broadmoor Road: Received a call from a BIS member regarding a homeless male on the corner of the roundabout. Described as a WM, age 30’s/40’s, wearing dark clothing and carrying a large black backpack. BIS officer arrived at 8:48 pm and contacted the male on the NE corner of the roundabout. WM, 30’s wearing black jeans, dark grey hoodie, black jacket, black ballcap, tan boots, with a full beard and mustache. Also had a black backpack, another small black bag, a shovel and a walking stick. Male was very pleasant, appeared sober and non-threatening. He stated he stopped for a break before trying to find somewhere to sleep for the night. Officer talked with him for a while and instructed him to an area away from the Broadmoor area. Male was last seen walking East on Lake Avenue leaving the area. Officer cleared at 9:28 pm.

 

12/21…10:36 am…Zone 5…Sierra Vista Drive: Received a call from a resident about a suspicious vehicle parked at Sierra Vista Drive and Loma Linda Drive. Described as a dark color older model SUV, unknown plates, with one individual inside (no description given) and the vehicle was running. BIS officer arrived at 10:46 am. Vehicle was no longer parked at the intersection and was not located by the officer. Officer checked numerous streets in the area with no contact. No other calls were received. Officer cleared at 10:55 am.
