Officer Reports 12/30/24 to 1/5/25

12/30…7:38 am…Zone 2…Fourth Street and Elm Ave: Received a call from a BIS member regarding an unmarked truck observed getting water from the fire hydrant at Fourth street and Elm Ave. Truck described as a white four door with a black trailer, no driver description. Reporting member stated this truck has been seen once before at this location. The truck was reported as last seen going east on Elm Ave then onto Highway 115. BIS officer responded and arrived in the area at 7:49 am. BIS Officer checked the area but no vehicles matching description or individuals were seen in the area. Officer logged and shared information with all BIS Officers for possible look out and contact.

1/2 ….6:17 pm…Zone 1…Third Street and Lake Ave: Received a call from a BIS member about a suspicious vehicle parked on the street in front of their home. Vehicle described as a black four door Toyota Tacoma with a black camper topper and California plates. BIS officer arrived at 6:20 pm and found the truck unoccupied. Officer observed construction tools inside the truck bed area. The vehicle was not blocking traffic or driveway and no hazard to other motorists. Logged and informed all other BIS Officers. BIS night shift officer will check on the truck throughout the night for activity. The officer cleared at 6:25 pm.

 

1/3…11:55 am…Zone 7…Broadmoor Ave: While on patrol, BIS officer observed three male solicitors in the area placing flyers into mailboxes for a tree service company. Officer contacted one of the males who was a BM wearing black shirt, grey sweatpants and a grey backpack. Officer advised man not to enter onto BIS member’s property. Male stated he would let the others he was working with, know this as well.  No problems or other concerns. Officer logged male's description for future reference and cleared at 11:58 am. No calls were received about these individuals.

 

1/3…4:11 pm…Zone 2…Lake Ave and Fourth Street: Received a call from a BIS member about a suspicious male stumbling in the road. Male was described as a WM, wearing a red jacket, walking west on Lake Ave. BIS officer arrived at 4:15 pm and observed the male at Lake Ave near the entrance to Cheyenne Mountain Country Club. The BIS Officer observed the man stumbling and acting as if he was confused or possibly intoxicated. As the BIS Officer attempted to contact the male, he ran a few steps away, fell and then proceeded to stand up and continued to run/walk west onto Broadmoor Hotel property. The Broadmoor Hotel security was notified and given the male’s description. The officer cleared at 4:21 pm.

 

1/4 …4:48 pm…Zone 2…Red Wing Terrace: Received a call from a BIS member regarding a suspicious vehicle that has been seen several times over several days in the past week. The vehicle was seen by the member being driven on Red Wing Terrace three times in just a short period of time last week as well. Today, January 4, at about 4:40 pm, the vehicle drove by the member’s residence once again. Member notified BIS. The vehicle is not known to be from the area, which was described as a dark grey, four door sedan, possibly a Nissan Sentra, and missing the rear bumper. The driver was described as an HM with a scruffy beard and an HF passenger. No further description was provided. BIS officer arrived at 4:55 pm and began checking numerous streets in the area but was not able to locate the vehicle.  No other calls regarding the vehicle were received. Officer logged information and shared with all other BIS Officers to look out and monitor vehicle if seen during patrols. The officer cleared at 5:15 pm.
