Officer Reports 5/20/24 to 5/26/24

5/20…1:46 am…Zone 2…Fourth Street: BIS officer received a call from a member about a suspicious vehicle parked on Fourth Street just north of Elm Ave, no vehicle description, only that the vehicle had been parked and was running for about 30 minutes. BIS officer arrived at 1:51 am and found a black Ford Taurus with CO plates, vehicle running with its lights on, occupied by a white male/Asian male with black hair wearing a black muscle shirt - passed out in the vehicle. CSPD was called at 1:56 am by BIS Officer to report the possible DUI or medical care need situation.  CSPD, CSFD and AMR were dispatched, AMR arrived at 2:08 am, three units from CSPD arrived at 2:11 am. Male was awakened by CSPD. CSFD and AMR checked the male medically and left the area after a few minutes. BIS officer provided pertinent facts and information to CSPD. The BIS officer cleared at 2:21 am while CSPD was still on scene.


5/20…12:42 pm…Zone 1…Elm Ave and Third Street: Received a call from a member about a reckless driver. Two younger males in a white Lexus with CO plates, ran the stop sign at Third Street and Elm Ave at a high rate of speed, almost hitting another vehicle. The member was advised to call CSPD as well. The BIS officer responded and checked the area, but the vehicle was not located. No other calls received.

 

5/20...8:50 pm... Zone 10… Leaming Road: BIS Officer received a call from an alarm company regarding an audible alarm at a member's residence. Upon arrival the Officer inspected the exterior of the home and called the owner who was out of town. Officer entered home and deactivated alarm at member's request. No sign of foul play or forced entry. False alarm. Officer cleared at 9:10 pm.

 

5/20…8:58 pm…Zone 7…Fifth Street: While responding to an alarm call (see above) the BIS officer received a call from a member about a loud party taking place in the area.  No vehicle or individual descriptions available. The officer first handled the alarm call then responded to the call concerning the loud party. The officer arrived at 9:20pm. CSPD was on scene when BIS officer arrived. No other information.  BIS deferred the call to CSPD and cleared the scene at 9:40pm.

 

5/21…11:04 am…Zone 3…Bear Paw Lane: While on patrol, a BIS officer observed two trucks in a member’s driveway which were not the typical vehicles usually observed at the house. One was a white box truck with CO plates and a blue Dodge Ram with CO plates. The BIS officer contacted two males inside the house working on a burst water pipe. One of the males was the actual homeowner, and the other is a friend of the homeowner.   BIS officer cleared at 11:12am.


5/22…11:21 am…Zone 7…Broadmoor Ave: Received a call from a member about a suspicious vehicle, a small grey Jeep vehicle occupied by a HF. The female was seen by the reporting party (RP) walking in front of two houses on Broadmoor Ave. The BIS officer arrived at 11:25 am and saw the vehicle (Arizona plates) parked in the driveway. The reporting party was called back and was met by the BIS officer at Broadmoor Ave and 5th Street, where the Officer advised that everything was okay. The vehicle belonged to the address.

5/24…8:44 pm…Zone 7…Fifth Street: BIS officer received a call from a member about several vehicles parked at the dead end of the street. The BIS officer arrived and found 5 vehicles parked on the street. Officer logged a black Toyota 4 Runner and a black Honda CRV, both with CO plates, before contacting 10-15 males and females between the ages of 16-20 years old on the Colorado Springs School athletic field. None were students at the Colorado Springs School, all stated they were CMHS students. All were advised that they were on private property and advised them of the private property/no trespassing sign.  The officer told the teenagers to leave the property, and all did with no issues. The BIS officer cleared at 8:56 pm.
