6/25…8:54 am…Zone 2…Seventh Street: BIS Officer received an alarm call at a BIS member’s house from ADT security advising alarm sounding from the front door. BIS officer arrived at 8:56 am, alarm was audible upon arrival, contacted a HF mid 20s with cleaning equipment. Phone contact made with the homeowners. The homeowner verified she was the housekeeper. Alarm turned off by the member/owners. Officer clear at 9:04 am.
6/25…11:23 am…Zone 1…Elm Ave: BIS Officer received a call from a member of a suspicious male inside a business. Described as a tall WM with lots of tattoos and possibly under the influence of narcotics. BIS officer was asked to stand by in case the male needed to be escorted off the property. The BIS officer arrived at 11:40 am and observed a WM 30-40 years old wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans carrying a tan backpack and brown shopping bag on the property. Male left the property without incident and was last seen talking on a cell phone and walking North on First Street. BIS Officer contacted the business office staff who stated the male was a new customer and had stopped in to make an appointment. Officer clear at 11:52 am.
6/26…9:52 am…Zone 10…Leaming Road: Received a call regarding a burglar alarm at a BIS member’s house from SimpliSafe Security advising the alarm was coming from a basement door sensor. The BIS Officer arrived at 9:56 am and the alarm was not audible. Officer conducted a full perimeter check and determined all doors and windows were secure with no signs of attempted entry. Homeowners were contacted by phone and advised everything was secure. Officer clear at 10:05 am.
6/26…11:33 am…Zone 1…Hermosa Way: BIS Officer received a call from an alarm company regarding an alarm at a member’s house coming from the front door. The Officer arrived at 11:35 am and contacted the homeowner. Determined it was a false alarm possibly due to a low battery. Officer clear at 11:57 am.
6/27…1:35 pm…Zone 5…Cheyenne Mtn Blvd: BIS Officer received a call from a member of a suspicious vehicle parked in the 300 block of Cheyenne Mountain Blvd. RP stated the vehicle has been parked in the same location for nearly a week. The BIS officer arrived at 2:28 pm and found an unoccupied white sedan with current CO plates. The vehicle did not have any markings of the make and model of the sedan but had numerous old and faded or removed markings that appeared to have been from a taxi service. The vehicle was legally parked and there were no signs in the area stating no parking. Logged vehicle information for future reference. Officer clear at 2:40 pm. The following day (June 28) the Officer conducted a follow up patrol in the area where vehicle was parked and found vehicle was gone. No further information.
6/28…7:35 pm…Zone 1…Cheyenne Blvd: BIS Officer received a call from a BIS member stating that someone was riding an ATV up and down the street making noise. The BIS officer arrived at 7:44 pm and observed a WF, 30/40’s, riding a small go cart with a child (6-8 years old) and a juvenile riding a white and black ATV on Cheyenne Blvd. west of O’Malley Place. The section of road they were riding on is closed to all traffic from O’Malley Place to Cresta Road for utility work. Officer spoke with the member at their house and called CSPD to respond. The BIS Officer cleared the area at 8:03 pm deferring the incident to CSPD due to possible violations of city traffic code. Unknown time of CSPD arrival.
6/29…7:57 am…Zone 2…Elm Ave and Berthe Circle: BIS member called BIS about 2 WM’s at a silver Audi sedan arguing outside the vehicle. RP was unable to give any more descriptions of the vehicle or the individuals. The BIS officer arrived in the area at 8:07 am. Officer checked the area but was unable to locate the vehicle or males. No other calls received. Officer clear at 8:15 am.
6/29…8:16 am…Zone 2…Elm Ave and Fourth Street: BIS Officer received a call from a BIS member of a male sitting on the curb who appeared distressed. Male described as a WM, 20s, shirtless, wearing PJ bottoms. BIS Officer called Broadmoor Fire Department as well in case male needed medical attention. BIS Officer arrived in the area at 8:23 am but distressed male was gone upon officer's arrival and was not located at Fourth Street and Elm Ave. Officer patrolled surrounding streets to locate male but was unsuccessful. Broadmoor Fire responded and checked area for distressed male, also with no contact. Officer cleared at 8:50 am.
6/29…8:53 am…Zone 7…Broadmoor Ave: BIS Officer received a call from a member reporting a silver Audi sedan parked on the street with two individuals arguing and having a physical altercation. Reporting person described combatants as a WF with red dyed hair and a BM, 20’s, shirtless, with PJ bottoms. BIS officer could hear a verbal argument in the background while on the phone with the member. The member was advised to call 911 and BIS officer also notified CSPD. BIS officer arrived in the area at 9:07 am after calling CSPD and contacted the reporting member. Vehicle was last seen at Berthe Circle and Lake Ave. BIS officer observed the vehicle and as he drove towards the vehicle the driver sped off going East on Lake Ave. Officer was unable to see the plate number on the silver Audi due to traffic. The officer drove around several streets but was unable to locate the vehicle again. Officer clear at 9:20 am, no other calls received. Unknown time of CSPD arrival.
6/30...8:14 pm... Zone 10... Penrose Blvd: BIS Officer received a call from a member regarding a homeless appearing male pulling a wagon up Penrose Blvd. No further description provided. Officer arrived in the area atm 8:23 pm and contacted a homeless appearing male at Cheyenne Mtn. Zoo Road and Napoli Way. The subject was a W/M or HM, 30's, dark complexion, black curly hair, wearing dark gray pants, no shirt, no shoes, carrying a black and yellow backpack and pulling a black wagon. The man advised he was from the Highlands Ranch area and just wanted to live outdoors away from everyone. He also stated he was going to the zoo to look around, not inside the zoo but just from the outside. BIS Officer advised the man that the zoo was private property and that he may be asked to leave. The officer also stated that camping is not allowed throughout the Broadmoor area. The man was not disoriented, was pleasant to talk to and did not appear under the influence or otherwise distressed. He further stated he did not need any assistance. The officer cleared at 8:40 pm but monitored the area for the remainder of the night. No other calls received. Subject left the area during the Officer's shift without further incident.
