7/30…2:08 pm…Zone 10…Chase Lane: Received a call from a BIS member about a suspicious male. Described as a WM, tall athletic build, wearing grey clothing and a ski cap. Male was seen walking onto a member’s property and looking under the driveway/bridge area. BIS officer arrived at 2:12 pm. Suspicious male was observed entering a "Finsterwald Landscaping" vehicle. Male was contacted by the BIS Officer and verified that he was authorized to be on the property. He left the area at 2:14 pm. BIS Officer called reporting member back and advised the male was allowed on property and had left the area. Officer cleared call at 2:15 pm.

 

7/30…7:10 pm…Zone 10…Upland Road: Received a fire/smoke alarm call from ADT at a BIS member’s residence. The BIS officer arrived at 7:17 pm and contacted the member at the front door. The fire alarm was activated by cooking smoke. No active fire. The member had already notified Broadmoor Fire not to respond. BIS officer cleared at 7:45 pm.

8/2…10:24 pm…Zone 10…Midland Road:  Received a call from a BIS member about a suspicious vehicle that was parked between her house and the neighbor’s house. After the vehicle parked, she saw flashlights on the street by the neighbor’s house. The BIS officer arrived at 10:28 pm and contacted 2 WMs, 17-18 years old who were by two vehicles parked on the street. Black Subaru SUV with temp tags and a silver Subaru Forester with CO plates. One of the males stated they popped a tire on a curb and were waiting for someone to come help change the tire. They did not want any help from the BIS Officer when offered and seemed a little nervous and stressed. BIS member was called back and advised of the situation. Males were contacted again prior to the officer leaving the area to ensure they would be okay. Their help arrived who was another juvenile male.  They again declined the Officer's offer to provide some light while they changed the tire and stated they might leave the car and come back in the morning. Vehicle was not blocking the road or any driveways. Officer cleared at 10:38 pm.

 

8/3…2:47 am…Zone 10…Upland Road: While patrolling the area BIS officer found a mailbox, landscaping rocks/yard decorations and a retaining wall that had been damaged by a vehicle. Rocks and debris were scattered across the roadway. The BIS officer went back to Midland Road for a closer look at the silver Subaru Forester from the call at 10:24 pm. Vehicle had extensive damage to the passenger side of the vehicle that appeared consistent to what may have caused the damage to the mailbox, etc., on Upland Road. CSPD was called by BIS Officer at 3:07 am. CSPD call taker stated they would send officers when available. BIS Officer cleared at 3:15 am.  CSPD arrived on scene at approx. 7:15 am.  CSPD officer called BIS and the BIS officer provided information concerning the two vehicles discovered on Midland Road on 8/2 at 10:24pm.  

 

8/4…9:40 am…Zone 1…Mesa Ave:  Report of a vehicle parked in front of a fire hydrant on Mesa Ave. Vehicle described as a white utility van. The BIS officer arrived at 9:55 am and found numerous vehicles parked on both sides of Mesa Ave. - likely for services at a nearby church. Officer monitored the area for the next few hours and noted the white utility van in question had moved further down the street when able to move to a different parking space. All vehicles were gone from the area at 12 pm.
