8/6…11:36 am…Zone 7…Lake Ave: Received a call from a groundskeeper at the Country Club regarding a vehicle that has been parking on the property daily.  The driver was noticed leaving the vehicle and not returning until about 2 pm. The BIS officer arrived at 11:41 am and contacted the reporting party. The vehicle of concern is a silver 4 door Jeep Wrangler with CO plates. The officer contacted a towing company, but they are unable to tow the vehicle until the next day.  Officer left a note on the vehicle advising the owner that the vehicle will be towed from the property if parked here again. Officer cleared at 12:11 pm.

 

8/6…4:15 pm…Zone 1…Jupiter Drive: Received an email from a BIS member regarding a white RV with CO plates parked to the west of their house for a week. The reporting party stated they had contacted CSPD several days prior, but nothing had been done. The BIS officer contacted the member for follow up information and reported the RV on the GoCOS! app. Officer followed up the next morning and RV was still parked at the same site with generator running. BIS Officer called CSPD and made a second report about the RV camping on the street in the neighborhood. BIS Officer received a case number from CSPD. Officer informed member of action taken and shared CSPD case number. RV was gone from the area on Saturday evening.

 

8/7…8:37 pm…Zone 1…Mesa Ave: Received an alarm call from Securitas with multiple alarms sounding. The BIS officer arrived at 8:50 pm and contacted the staff (Manager) on the property along with CSPD. Nothing unusual, all was secure. A function held earlier had already ended. Possible alarm malfunction. The BIS officer cleared at 8:55 pm.

 

8/8…8:55 am…Zone 6…Highway 115 just South of Cheyenne Mtn Blvd: The BIS officer observed a white Hyundai Tucson with temp tags and a flat tire. Officer stopped to see if the driver needed any assistance. Upon talking to the WF driver, age 40s, wearing grey sweatpants and a black tank top, the BIS officer could smell alcohol on the driver’s breath and further observed the driver to exhibit severely slurred speech. The driver stated she swerved to miss a rabbit in the road and went into the ditch. Heavy damage to the front of the vehicle and three flat tires. The driver stated she had called for a tow truck and was going to walk to the Cheyenne Mtn Resort and wait in the lobby. While the BIS officer called the State Patrol the driver left the area on foot. BIS officer cleared at 9:17 am. Vehicle was not blocking traffic. An officer from CSPD called BIS officer at 9:44 am to inform BIS that they were on scene handling the crash and checking the driver for possible DUI.   

 

8/8…11:02 am…Zone 1…Mesa Ave: A BIS member called to report that they had seen a suspicious vehicle parked in front of their house on the street approximately 45 minutes prior when they were out for a walk. The vehicle was described as a Ford F-150 with heavy damage to the front, broken rear window, out of state plates, with a bearded WM and a WF sleeping inside. No further descriptions given. BIS officer arrived at 11:06 am and checked the area but the vehicle was no longer parked/located in the area.  No other calls received. Officer cleared 11:08 am.

 

8/9…9:48 am…Zone 6…Wedgewood Court: BIS member sent two videos from their doorbell camera of a suspicious male ringing their doorbell the previous evening - Thursday (08/08/24), once at 8:30 pm and again at 9:30 pm. Video showed a WM wearing a black ballcap, a North Face hooded rain jacket with cargo pants. Male had short hair and was carrying a clipboard and an iPad, riding a Segway. Male also had a photo ID tag attached to the jacket but unable to see any details on the video. Member stated they talked to a neighbor and the male claimed to be selling pest control services. No action taken by BIS Officer. Logged for reference and sharing with all Officers.

 

8/9…11:11pm…Zone 2…Polo Drive: Received a call from a BIS member stating they heard what sounded like a fight on Polo Circle. The member had heard lots of yelling in that area. The BIS officer arrived at 11:19 pm and contacted 1 WM and 3 WF’s standing on Polo Circle with loud music coming from the backyard of a non-member’s house. Male stated there was no fight, they were having a small party and would turn the music down. The BIS officer confirmed that there were no signs of a fight, and everyone was calm and appeared to be enjoying themselves. Called the BIS member back and let them know what was occurring and advised them to call back if the noise/music continues.  If it did continue the officer will contact CSPD. Cleared at 11:31 pm. No other calls received regarding this party

 

8/10…5:53 pm…Zone 8…Marland Road: Received a call from a BIS member about several cars parked along the edge of Pourtales Park on the street for a party/BBQ at a house in the area. Vehicles were legally parked on the city street. The member was contacted and reassured that we would keep an eye on the vehicles and report any issues to CSPD. No other calls received. Officer monitored the area for the remainder of the evening but no cause for further action was observed.

 

8/10…9:15 pm…Zone 3…Alsace Way: Received a call from a BIS member about a suspicious male he saw on the corner of Alsace Way and Brown Bear Lane. Described as a WM, 20’s, with blonde hair carrying a clipboard with pictures of bugs attached and riding a Segway. Member stated this same male had come to his door at about 4 pm selling pest control services. Male was polite and left his property when asked. Member concerned the male may be checking houses in the area and was further suspicious about the late hour of him being in the area. BIS officer advised the member that this male matches the description and video of a male on Thursday evening on Wedgewood Court doing the same activity (See report from 08/09/24 above).  The BIS officer arrived in the area at 9:32 pm and began checking the area of Bear Paw Lane where he was last seen. The officer checked numerous streets including Rainbow Ave, Pine Ave and Oak Ave with no contact. Reporting party was called back and advised the male was no longer in the area. Cleared 9:46 pm.  No other calls received.

 

8/11…10:07 pm…Zone 2…Lake Ave and Sixth Street: Received a call from a BIS member about a loud party with very loud music and fireworks coming from the house on the corner of Lake Ave and Sixth street. BIS officer arrived at 10:33 pm and observed 20+ vehicles parked on Sixth street between Lake Ave and Elm Ave. Officer observed numerous younger males and females, late teens to early 20’s, walking around the street and driveway of the non-member’s house. The BIS officer called CSPD at 10:42 to report the possible underage party. CSPD call taker stated officers would check the area when available. BIS officer cleared at 10:58 pm. Unknown time of CSPD’s arrival. The BIS Officer checked back and observed two police units were on scene at 11:58 pm.
