Officer Reports 9/2/24 to 9/8/24

9/2…1:04 pm…Zone 10…Penrose Blvd: Report of a suspicious RV by a BIS member. Described as a beige RV with expired Missouri plates, expired 05/31/24. The RV was parked on the side of the road not blocking traffic. The BIS officer arrived making note of the plate number to report the info to CSPD.

 

9/2…3:42 pm…Zone 7…Broadmoor Ave: BIS member called to report the house sitter heard loud noises inside the house, requested BIS officer check the interior of the house. The BIS officer arrived at 3:45 pm checking the exterior of the house, no signs of forced entry. The officer met the house sitter in the backyard. She stated she heard what sounded like furniture being moved across the floor. The BIS officer checked the interior of the house thoroughly, no signs of any furniture that had moved, or anything disturbed. BIS member was called back and advised nothing unusual was found. Cleared at 4:05 pm.

 

9/3…2:46 pm…Zone 6…Broadmoor Valley Road: BIS officer observed water going into the air from the area of Broadmoor Valley Road and Woodbridge Drive. As he arrived in the area at 2:50 pm he observed a broken water main. Colorado Springs Utilities and CSFD were already on scene. The water was turned off at the time when the BIS officer arrived. Cleared at 2:55 pm.

 

9/3…9:36 pm…Zone 8…Cheyenne Mountain Blvd: Received a call about a truck and at least one person with a flashlight walking around a house under construction. RP stated it was too dark to give any description of the truck or individual. RP stated the truck was leaving the area. The BIS officer arrived at 9:45 pm and checked the area for the truck. No vehicles or individuals were seen in the area. Cleared at 9:50 pm.

 

9/4…8:42 am…Zone 4…Elm Circle: BIS member called to report their unlocked vehicle had been entered sometime during the night. Gift card and loose change taken. No description of a suspect. The member just wanted to report the incident and did not want to file a report with CSPD.

 

9/4..3:57 pm…Zone 1…Third Steet and Polo Drive: BIS member called to report a vehicle that had been following her while she was out for a walk. Vehicle described as a light colored 4 door vehicle, with a BM driver.  No further description given. The driver followed her onto Second Street and parked behind another vehicle parked on the street. As she walked onto Maple Ave the male followed her to Third Street and slowly drove by her, looking and smiling at her. Male driver last seen going East on Polo Drive. RP felt uncomfortable and returned to her residence and called the BIS officer. The BIS officer arrived at 4:03 pm and began looking for the vehicle on Polo Drive and surrounding streets. Unable to locate the vehicle. The BIS officer called the member back and assured her that the vehicle was no longer in the area. No other calls received. Cleared at 4:11 pm.

 

9/5…1:58 pm…Zone 1…Cheyenne Blvd: BIS member called about a suspicious black male, 25 years old wearing all black, walking back and forth across the lanes of traffic in front of a business. RP concerned he may get hit by traffic in the area. BIS officer arrived at 2:02 pm and did not see the male in the area of the business. Checked the surrounding area and was unable to locate the male. No other calls received. Cleared at 2:07 pm.

 

9/6…10:28 am…Zone 1…First Street: Received a call from a BIS member reporting a suspicious male walking around Elm Ave and First Street. Described as a WM 20’s with no shirt, tattoos on his back wearing khaki pants. BIS officer arrived at 10:51 am, checked the area and was unable to locate the male. No other calls received. Cleared at 11:00 am.

 

9/6…11:49 pm…Zone 7…Beech Ave and First Street: BIS officer observed a dark blue/purple mid 90’s model Ford Ranger extended cab truck with CO plates partially parked in the grass of the roundabout and into the street, partially blocking the road. After a few minutes two WM’s in their mid-20’s came back to the truck from the direction of the Broadmoor Hotel. Both males ignored questions from the BIS officer while they were getting into the truck and left the area traveling east on Lake Ave from First Street. The driver was wearing jeans and a white pullover sweatshirt with a white stocking hat. The passenger was wearing dark jeans and a black shirt. The BIS officer called Broadmoor Hotel Security and asked if they were looking for two WM’s. They had escorted one of the males off the property. Information about the truck was passed onto hotel security. BIS officer cleared at 12:06 am.

 

9/7…10:19 pm…Zone 7…Broadmoor Ave: Received a call from a BIS member about a suspicious truck with a trailer and a male that rang her doorbell. She stated that male asked about an address on Hutton lane that he was looking for. She told the male to leave her property. Male was last seen driving South on Hutton Lane towards Pourtales Road. BIS officer arrived at 10:25 pm checking the area of Pourtales Road and Hutton Lane. Reporting member called back at 10:29 pm stating the truck was parked on the street in front of her house. The BIS officer arrived and found a gold Ford F-250 with a black flatbed trailer, both with CO plates. Contacted a WM 20’s in the driveway of the house on Hutton Lane. Male stated they were there to pick up a bounce house from a party earlier today. BIS member confirmed the neighbor did have a bounce house today in the neighbor’s yard. There were several rolled up bounce houses on the trailer. No other action taken, BIS officer clear at 10:43 pm.
