9/25…8:00 pm...Zone 8...Marland Road S: BIS received a report from a member about an attempted mail theft by a person or persons unknown who damaged a locked mailbox at a residence in the area in an apparent effort to access its contents sometime between 9 am and 1:40 pm. Mailbox was empty at the time, and nothing was stolen, however. No suspect information available and no other reports of similar incidents in area. No response required by BIS Officer. Information shared by member.
9/26…6:30 am…Zone 4…Old Broadmoor Road: Received a call from a member about a suspicious male wearing a red sweater carrying a blue blanket yelling at passing vehicles. BIS officer arrived and contacted a male at 7th street and Poplar Street. Male was asked if he needed any assistance, male replied with curse words and insults. No other interaction was initiated by the Officer with the suspicious male. Male possibly impaired by alcohol or drugs or possibly exhibiting mental issues. Male was observed walking South on Seventh Street to Lake Ave yelling and cursing at BIS officer continuously. Male was observed leaving the area East on Lake Avenue past Springmeadow Drive. No action was taken by BIS Officer other than to monitor suspect until he left the area. Officer cleared at 6:55 am. No other calls received.

9/29…12:52 am…Zone 10…Belle Air Road and West Point Road: BIS officer observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the intersection, occupied by what appeared to be three juvenile males in their late teens. Full size 4 door silver SUV with CO plates. Officer was unable to see the make and model of the vehicle. Driver drove off upon seeing the patrol vehicle. Vehicle was observed to drive to area of Alta Vista Road and then back to the same location on Belle Air Road. Officer then observed a fourth juvenile male run to the vehicle, get inside, and the vehicle left the area quickly. Numerous empty beer cans were observed on the side of the road where the vehicle had been parked. Officer checked the area thoroughly. No evidence of any foul play was observed by the Officer and no calls were received about the juvenile males or the vehicle. Officer monitored the area the remainder of the night.
